Hmm...I accidentally deleted my /etc/X11 directory, after upgrading from the previous version of X. So I re-installed the X series, and all seems to be ok again...I re-copied my xorg.conf and
XF86config files again to /etc/X11. However, Gnome seems to not be starting. I did xwmconfig and switched the default window manager to Gnome, and still no go. I can tell (or I think I can
tell), by the fact that when I hit ctrl+C in the X text console (the console from which I started X), only the X server terminates. I don't see any of those messages like..."Gnome pannel lost
connection to X server. Anyone know what I may have missed during/after the upgrade (after re-installing the X series and such)? Thanks!
