Samba and nfs on the same directories?

Yeah, and I've heard that Bill Gates plans to put windows under the
GPL.

Seriously though, it's a snap. 

mount -t smbfs //host/path /mount_point

should do it. If you don't have a /etc/samba/smb.conf file, it will
complain, but it should still mount with no problem.
