hi, I was reading that you can change settings such as speach rate by echoing values to the files in the /proc/speakup directory When I echo 5 /proc/speakup/rate I don't hear any change and when I cat /proc/speakup/rate it still returns the value 9. I know their has to be a way to change some of theese settings. the key_echo won't change either. Roy
