A question for Kirk or someone familiar with Speakup. Is the "0x1h y"
a valid command string? What does it mean?

The package is called speechd-up. The binary should also be called
speechd-up, but I didn't know how to do it with Automake at that
time :) But in the first official release, it will surely be called
speechd-up.
