Hi all.

The subject pretty much says it all. Does anyone know of a heat index
calculator that works with lynx the cat? Googling around, I found
sites that have javascript-based heat index calculators, and charts
where you can look up the temperature, and the humidity to get the
heat index, but neither of these is what I'm looking for. If anyone
knows of a stand-alone program for this purpose, that would be even
better. I had written such a program at one time, using this really
long formula I found on the web, but the results it came back with
were really high, I mean like in the millions. A friend of mine looked
at the way I wrote the formula in the program, and the actual formula
from the web site, but didn't see anything wrong with the way I wrote
it, so I just gave up, since I couldn't figure out what the problem
was. Thanks in advance.

Greg
