-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The text file reader I posted a few days ago has rapidly evolved, and version 0.4 is now posted. Rita now has a config file where defaults can be set, and several command line options to override those settings. Those options permit selecting a quiet mode of operation, continuous reading, and tolerance for upper ascii characters in a text file. Other parameters are screen size and reading rate, which must be changed in the config file. I also squashed a handful of bugs which could not be ignored. This will undoubtedly be my last post on this package, unless of course anyone has questions or reports problems. Check it out at: http://www.mhcable.com/~/chuckh/rita-0.4.tar.gz Years ago when DOS was alive, I played with text file readers and named them after favorite human readers of the time. One was Ralph The Reader, another was Barb The Browser. Rita follows in that tradition, although of course this time it is offered in the Linux world and makes no attempt to read anything other than plain text files with lines of proper length. It (she?) meets some needs of mine, and perhaps it (she?) will for you too.
