-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all. I did some research and figured out that the Inspiron600M and Linux get along quite nicely...However, when I tried booting Slackware-9.1 floppies off the modular floppy drive, I found that nothing would boot after the kernel. In other words, the kernel booted fine...However, when I went to hit enter after inserting the install.1 floppy, nothing happened. Could this be because of a message I got that said something like: "No floppy controllers found?" And as of right now, I can't boot off Cd without bios reconfiguration...Or else I'd do that. Anyone have any ideas of what I could install on this laptop perhaps? Or would I be able to fix things by perhaps putting a 2.6.6 kernel on the speakup.s disk instead of the supplied 2.4.26?
