I think all they are actually doing is matching the agent string to
acceptable agent strings. I left out a space at one point and lynx
ran with it and asmodean
quoted it back to me, but BOA didn't like it.
Also, it will work in your .lynxrc if you have that turned on in your
lynx.cfg, but you don't need the single quotes around the string as you do
on the command line. Once you turn this on in lynx.cfg, there will be a
user agent string for lynx in your .lynxrc, either then or next time you
save options--I'm not sure. But remember that if you change that string,
the next time you use the options menu and save it, the string revers to
the old one.
