Yes, that would be interesting. My expectation, though, is that they do actually use HTTPS. They've just put a stupid threshold test up front against the blank screen kind of hangs that might result from attempting to communicate HTTP where HTTPS is required. I don't mind them doing user friendly screens. I do mind them being lazy and sloppy about how they do that.
