My new lady doth be cruel! (sad expression) In the midst of "open Office", as I chose "everything" as suggested for we tyroes, I switched disks as asked. Now, lest you think me sloppy, I checked all 8 Fedora disks, even though my intention was/is to only install those elements on the first 4 Fedora discs to run things primarily textually... Alas, even though all discs passed their check sum, Ms. Linux, my new dominatrix, refused to accept disc 2 as being the correct disc. I'm reburning it from the downloaded "iso" image. If this doesn't work, what should I do? What are my options at this point, having sarted the installation, and as I understand it, the system being now Linux formatted, how do I properly abandon installation and restart if necessary??? Nick
