I don't think any distribution is "best" for speakup, since they all use linux kernels. You should be able to get speakup working on any linux distribution. There is a matter of convenience, if the distribution already has speakup kernels built for you. But that alone doesn't make one "better" or "best". The choice of distribution is pretty much a personal thing. Most people try a few different distributions before settling on one they like. -- Doug
