Installing Debian

Hi all,

I am going to install Debian 2.2 from an existing DOS partition. I reviewed the Looking at Linux shows that were published on Main Menu a while ago by Mat Campbell. In these it said you had to get the kernel image for the synthesizer you had from the kernel folder and rename it Linux. I cannot find different images for different synthesizers. Has something changed? How do you tell Speakup which synthesizer you are using?

Thanks for any help.

Best Regards from Ohio, U.S.A.
