moving a slackware install

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all.

I have a slackware install on an ext3 partition that I am going to
have to run via umsdos off of a vfat partition. So, I mounted the vfat
partition as umsdos, and started copying things over from the ext3
partition. However, cp told me that it can't preserve date info, and
that it can't create simlinks.

So, could anyone please tell me what is the correct way to go about
this, and preserve my entire ext3 system on the vfat partition so that
I can boot it via umsdos?

Thanks in advance.

Greg
