setting up grub to use an initrd

Hi all,

I am looking into rebuilding speakup as modules and setting up an initrd.

I have used mkinitrd to build the initrd image, but I'm not quite sure how to set up grub to use it.

Here is a section from my grub.conf file, modified the way I think it should be to run an initrd. Is this set up correctly?

# For booting Gentoo Linux
title Gentoo Linux
root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/vmlinuz hdd=scsi root=/dev/ram0
initrd (hd0,0)/boot/initrd

Thanks,

William
