In my experience, I generally like -q4 for CD's, although I have used -q3 quite a lot and it sounds really good too. Keep in mind that -q4 is still smaller than a 128k mp3 and sounds much better. If you want a quality levelsimilar to a 128k mp3 you might want to try a level between -q1 and -q1.5.
