i tried ./configure for alsa 0.9.3a and it also produced the error. make BzImage did as well. my problem only happens when dealing with kernel related stuff. is there something i need to upgrade? i am using debian i do have the latest version of gcc according to apt i did some research on the web, but everything that it comes up with is very very old.
