chris, Sounds like the dectalk express has the problem. If you turn it on and put the volume all the way up before ti says it's battery ok or whatever thing; is it loud enough? If not, the device has a problem. It's too bad that they still don't make the express since it is so cool. -- Charlie Crawford.
