Janina, > vga=832 > doing it this way is specific to the video chip, though. It is supposed to be VESA standard. Any card that implements VESA standard can use the VESA graphics console modes like this. So in that sense it's not hardware specific, although I have never seen this particular code 832. Most of the codes work on any VESA compliant graphics card. -- Doug
