Small problem with kernel 2.6.0-test4

Speaking of Linux-2.4.0-test4, I have a problem where if I have the CVS
version of Speakup compiled in, the whole machine freezes a little while
after I boot and start typing for a while. It seems to happen at random
times. For example, one time I tried to boot and after I logged in as
root and started to type a command, it freezes. Other times, it takes a
little while for the machine to freeze. I don't think it's a hardware
problem because this doesn't happen with Linux 2.4.21. Has anybody else
had this problem with 2.6.0-test4? The version of Speakup that I had
compiled in to 2.6.0-test4 is the August 18th CVS version. The Speakup
version that I have compiled into 2.4.21 is the Jun 19th CVS version. I'm
using an internal Doubletalk synthesizer with a ROM version of 5.73.

Thanks.

Ryan
