Someone here made the comment about Microsoft using IIS, and thus Linux was not really the base OS. This message may shead some light on that... ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 27 Aug 2003 16:08:41 -0400 (EDT) From: Przemek Klosowski <przemek@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: ma-linux at tux.org Subject: [ma-linux] Re: [dclug] Microsoft Protecting Against Worm with Linux Interesting tho, whatever sever akami is running isn't Apache, it only uses HTTP 1.0. Well, I don't know what Akamai uses, but I'd be surprised if they did use Apache. They are caching web pages, not serving them. MS shows as Linux/IIS, because Akamai faithfully repeats the server ident from MS, while sending from Linux. _______________________________________________ ma-linux mailing list ma-linux at tux.org http://www.tux.org/mailman/listinfo/ma-linux
