I took Alex, and Charles advice and downloaded Nano-1.2.2.tar.gz I downloaded it with IE6, on Win98. I then copied it to the linux/temp directory on the machine that ZipSpeak is on. I boot the linux machine from a boot diskette at the beep: mount root=/dev/hda1 rw I then login then I: cd / cd /tmp ls nano appears as: nano-1#1.$000 Why did the name change ? Is there a text to read that explains how to install programs on to ZipSpeak ? Thanks, -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
