A note for Owen ... Using only the speakup 1.5 tarball, patches apply fine, and the kernel compiles fine ... Applying the software synthesizer modifications to the same source doesn't seem to work for me at the moment, either with the tarball or the current cvs of speakup. Have you tried your code with new 1.5 version yet? -- Doug
