Thanks Owen. I put together a mini howto that describes how to install everything for your mods including speech tools, festival, speakup, your modifications to speakup, and compilation of the kernel. I will post that soon, I want to make sure it is accurate first. All inclusive there is a lot to compile! And festival must be big, compiling that seems like compiling a kernel!
