Don't bother with RPM under Slackware. You are better off downloading the source. To compile Emacspeak from source, you need to have installed the Slackware packages for tcl and tclx and of course, emacs. In Slackware 8.1 if you are lucky enough to get it, Emacspeak is included as a package on the extras CD or the extras directory on the FTP site. This is the same as contrib in Slackware 8.0, but I guess Pat decided that Extras made more sense, plus there is a lot more in it in 8.1 that might actually be useful to somebody.
