zipslack 8.1 question

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello all.

I am trying to run zipslack 8.1 from my parallel port zip drive with the speakup.i kernel.

However, the kernel cannot boot the root filesystem.

I have discovered that there are lp.o.gz and imm.o.gz modules, which tells me that probably neither one is in the kernel itself.

I also think that this kernel has devfs, so there should be some way for it to load the modules.

Does anyone out there know how to get around this without building a custom kernel?

Thanks for help in advance.

Greg
