Assuming you have your c/n lines configured correctly,
you might want to look in the aliases directory to see if there's an
alias file relating to your services daemon.  If not, try sourcing the
gneric aliases file with an include statement in the unrealircd.conf
file.
btw, edd, I'm interested to know what this module you're coding for
unreal is all about,
I'm a global operator on the angeleyez irc network and I think it may
well come in handy from time to time.
