Chainging keymaps

If you are using Redhat follow the following steps:
First, go to 
/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty.  Make sure you have a file 
called speakup.map.gz.  Try "loadkeys speakup".
To have the map permanently, you will need to change the file: 
/etc/sysconfig/keyboard to contain the word "speakup".
