tdk cdrw support under linux.

Does any one know how to enable linux support for the tdk cdrw drive so I
can burn with cdrecord.
It's an ide drive.
the cd-rom works all right, but cdrecord's scanbus can't find it.
does anyone have this drive in linux operation?
