Speakup does not support GUI. only text consoles are supported. You can browse the Web with packages like Lynx and Links. There are packages for converting MsWord documents to text. One such packages is Antiword. There are others as well. Doug -- Doug Lawlor <dlawlor at roadrunner.nf.net>
