General question about Linux

While we're on this, can anyone get lftp to list a short listing when
doing 'ls'? I try ls -1 to give me the file names without the other
stats and it is ignored in lftp but of course, it works great under
the shell. Sometimes I like to list the files and just the names
without sice, date, and permissions; this is especially the case with
those long mp3 files:).
