this will be a kernel problem not hardware. They changed the way modules were handled in woody and probably in sid too. They use the initial ramdisk I believe. Why are you running bleeding edge Debian? I'm a happy potato user here. I don't need 2.4.x for anything at this stage so I don't ru n it; and u ntil woody is released I don't want to touch it.
