Hmmm, well I don't want video, I followed the instructions given by Johan, and it sort of works. I had to tell it to use the oss sound driver, because under alsa it kept playing the same half-second or so of audio over and over again till I killed speakup. Also, when I try to play .asx files it says it can't find a load of fonts it needs, don't know what that's about, but it's looking in my home dir and in /usr/local/share/something.
