Hi Everyone, First off, thanks Alex for the answer on CVS. That is a very cool way of doing things indeed. The more I read, the more I find that Linux as a whole is a real breath of fresh air with it's choice of distributions for everyone from the command line junkie to a person (at least a sighted person to this point) who can't get along without their GUI. I have come across a really good resource for the real newbie like myself. It's a beginning Linux guide for the brand new newbie. It compliments the Redhat installation document put together by Janina and Bill. I will admit that this new guide is slanted towards Redhat, but they have a lot of nice things to say about Debian and Slackware as well. Tons of info and I've just scratched the tip of the iceberg. The URL is <http://www.sunsite.dk/linux-newbie/> Don't know if you veterans will learn much from it but like I said it's a real wealth of info for us who are getting started on the road to Windows withdrawl. LOLl Rob
