need the help of a perl programmer

hi,

i need a small perl script to be written. i could do the same thing in
c/c++/java but it would take much longer. i just need someone to write me a
script approximately 10 or 15 lines long, involving some regular expression
matching and search-and-replace.

if you're able to write such a simple script i'd be grateful to hear from
you.
