Hi all, <smile> I run both emacspeak and speakup at the same time. Most of the time I'm in Emacs, but I do use speakup for shell commands and doing audio and stuff. You can run them simultaneously in different consoles. Don't ask me how its done, but Matt Campbell informs me that one no longer needs to patch speakup to work with Emacspeak. Ann P. -- Ann K.
