I mis-quoted the syntax: for pine: press m to go to main menu; press c for configuration find by using ctrl-w show-cursor press <enter> to toggle the check mark beside this entry; press e to exit and y to save the changes. If you generally bring up lynx manually, type: lynx -show_cursor url Sorry to get off topic here but have encountered others who aren't familiar with this and it generally improves tracking of links.
