Hello. While not related to your question, if you are looking for an alternative to Lynx, I suggest Links. (note spelling) Links seems to work moderately well with Speak-up and has similar commands to Lynx but supports tables and has a menu-driven interface. It also supports frames. I do not know where to get the source since I just installed the Debian package.
