w3m and Speakup

Hi all.
I have looked at w3m off an on as an alternative to Lynx, but it seems a
bit flaky.
when a page is loaded, the speech seems run together, so if I want to hear
it again I have to re-read it.
Also I am not sure if I should invoke it with different options to make it
easier to use with Speakup.
Lastly, I seem to be able to tab from link to link, but it's not always
accurate, and sometimes it just gets muddled.
Is there any advantage over Lynx with w3m and if so, what can I do to get
it to act more friendly with Speakup?
thanks.
