Hi Will, Go to: http://www.linuxdoc.org/ Look under the "howtos" link you will find everything you want there. There's a howto on hardware, and modems is one of the chapters. It will have a list of compatible modems. Good rule of thumb is that anything that isn't win$ and is hayes compatible should work fine.
