Writing mail while offline.

What's the problem? This just works.
Well, let's see ... if you're specifying an smtp server other than your
own system, Pine will hang while it tries to connect to an unreachable
machine. Use sendmail (or whatever) on your own machine, and Pine will be
perfectly happy. I use this all the time.
