I have attached a small gift for list members, and here are the instructions for its use: 1. place the attached file in the directory /usr/local/etc, or somewhere else if you would rather. 2. create a file in your home directory called ".procmailrc" with the following two lines in it: ---------- :0 c | play /usr/local/etc/mailcall.wav ---------- If you already have such a file, you could probably put the two lines at the beginning without doing too much damage. 3. Assumptions: I assume you have a sound card with the sox play command on your system, and that you have a fetchmail daemon running to download your email every so often.
