Does your laptop boot cd roms? Is this feature possibly disabled in CMOS? In any case: There'll be a directory on the CD ROM called images. In there you'll find a file called boot.img. That's the floppy disk image. You need to create a floppy using this image. To create a floppy using boot.img as the source image file, go to a DOS session. On the same CD ROM there's another directory called dosutils. In there, there's an executable called rawrite.exe This is for creating floppy disks under DOS. Caution: Turn off your screen reader while rawrite is creating a floppy. You may need to run it once just to get a sense of when you should turn your screen reader off, but you should turn it off or you run the risk of creating a bad floppy--one that's corrupted. So, waste one, but pay attention. Essentially, you need to answer two questions, where's the image you want to use, and where should it write it (A: for example). On Thu, 23 Aug 2001, Peter M.
