Hi Pawel: if you are using the redhat boot disks then there is a possibility that the built-in keymap for the console is getting over written by one being loaded at boot time. One of our Redhat folks will have to tell you where to find the file which needs to be removed. I have to admit I'm not that familiar with the Redhat directory structure layout.
