The es1371 has been supported since 2.2.5 at least; get 2.2.17 it is far safer. The alsa drivers from http://www.alsa-project.org/ will support the es1371 I have a couple here. I'd recommend getting 2.2.17 and making speakup work then get the sound to go. Regards, Kerry.
