But if your telnet program is accessible then you can adminster remotely with Linux. But moving beyond this, fretting about how to do a possible job you don't have is like fretting about how much rain is going to fall in the yard next year. You have no control and don't/can't know. I can tell you some general things to bank on. 1. You will not be responsible for a damn thing on day one. (If you are you don't want that job.) While they want you to have some knowledge, no person in his right mind would expect that a person with no work experiance is ready to handle their established network solo. Just doesn't happen. 2. The only way you can know about their tools is to get access to them. That won't happen until it is a do or die situation. 3.
