Well, I tried interupting the speech during the boot messages, and still locked at login. I noticed someone a few posts back said they thought the kernel had to be called vmlinuz for zipspeak... mine is vmlinuz.spk am I just grasping at straws at this point? Maybe Jacob will compile another kernel for me with the DecTalk 0.05 drivers that Kirk Ricer sent me...
