There is a simple little tar ball in the goodies directory that I created with a .mailcap and a .mime.types files in them which will make lynx use most of the standard extensions correctly. The mailcap currently is set up for freeamp, aplay and trplayer, Matt's command line real audio player. You can edit that file to change the various players to suit your system.
