You can use disk druid to do your disk configuration during the Red Hat install. It works well with Speakup. F1 add partition. Then the first field, / where your cursor lands when you open the add window, is the partition name. E.G. / , /var /usr /pub ... and left blank for swap. The next field, by pressing tab, is the size of the partition. It defaults to 1 mg. You will need to backspace over the 1 if your size does not include a leading 1. enter the size of the partition here. The next field, tab, is whether the partition should grow to fill the available space on the drive. To check it, press the space bar. If it is checked, you will her (*) otherwise, you will here ). The next field, tab, is the partition type, use up and down arrows to pick the type of partition. To confirm your choice, press insert + 8 . The next field, is the checked by default, and I have never had to uncheck it. It is to do with the physical drive you are partitioning. Then you will tab to ok, and press enter. As you create the various partitions, they will be added to a list. you can use the up and down arrow keys to select which ever on you need. F3 edit, allows you to make changes to the partitions that you have configured. F4, delete, allows you to delete the selected partition.
