I've ordered the Sound Blaster Live Platinum. It's a half-length PCI card plus a drive bay unit that provides front panel jacks for interfacing devices--including SPDIF in/out. So, I hope I'll be happy with this! <grin> It seems to meet the various needs, and folks here seem unanimous on the SB Live itself.
