Before making a request, bugzilla.kernel.org has Product categories and
then Component sub-categories.  There is already a Tools and Utilities Product
category where we could request the addition of the "sparse" Component -- although
I would prefer having a Sparse Product category (top-level) instead.
Then we (someone) could add Components to that as needed (if ever needed).

Any other opinions on that?
